New House, Blairgowrie Perthshire

A sleek, linear glass volume on the edge of open fairways, this house creates a sense of drama. Designed around a double height living area, the Fairway Villa merges interior and landscape to dramatic effect.

At the heart of the living space, a glass and timber staircase rises up to a high gallery. Rising with the staircase and echoing the trees outside, the slate-clad chimney breast has a hearth open to both living and dining areas.

Outside a deep external deck wraps around the southern corner of the house, leading on to an open lawn with mature trees at the fairway's edge. In front of the main elevation of the house the landscaping is inspired by New York's High Line Park.
